How does it work?

Non-Kegel. Some people do not need to squeeze and release their pelvic floor muscles.

We will work on your whole body (not just your pelvic floor area) by correcting your lifestyle factors and doing low-impact stretching and exercise

You will receive a recorded video of your homework after each session if you wish.
My story
A gush of wee came out suddenly while I was walking with my two-day-old son at a local shopping centre after we were discharged from hospital. I rushed back to a supermarket and purchased 'Extra absorbency incontinence pads' instead of maternity pads. I did yoga, Pilates and pelvic floor exercises daily during my pregnancy and had such a happy pregnancy (after a long journey of infertility). My childbirth was easy and quick. (Obviously it was super painful.)
I saw a couple of women's health physiotherapists for my uncontrollable urinary incontinence both at the hospital and at a private practice, had ultrasound for my pelvic floor muscles and was told to do the Kegel. I was also told not to walk much as I kept leaking wee every time I walked upstairs after a half hour walk. My incontinence gradually improved, but I still had it despite diligently doing pelvic floor exercises for a few years. Jumping, sneezing and coughing without wetting myself - no way... Feeling the urge to wee - it was impossible to hold it... Loss of control in my pelvic floor area was such a shameful experience for me.
I found a full-body approach pelvic floor program by chance and tried it out of desperation to stop this embarrassing experience. It did not personally feel right for me to have to use incontinence liners/pads for the rest of my life. The program worked!
I would like to share this holistic pelvic floor health approach with my Seitai (bodywork for rebalancing a whole body) knowledge for others with pelvic floor dysfunction.
It is such a joy for me to regain confidence with my pelvic floor control.

Expiry date to complete your program (the total of 4 sessions) is 6 months from your first appointment.

Appointments
An initial is 55-60 minutes and follow up appointments are approximately 45-50 minutes.
Options to attend your appointments are either face-to-face at Zenshin or online.

1. Why is this program run over 4 sessions?
This holistic pelvic floor program is not a quick fix. Lifestyle factors are a major cause of pelvic floor dysfunction. Changing your posture and habitual movement patterns do not happen in just one day. That is why I would like to work with you for your pelvic floor health over 3 - 6 months.
A single appointment as a trial is also available.
3. How fast will I be able to improve my pelvic floor dysfunction?
This will vary depending on how quickly you can adapt your lifestyle factors and how often you do your home stretching and exercise program.
5. I am not fit, and don't particularly enjoy exercising.
Your home stretching and exercise program that I will give you is all low-impact. No puff and sweat. Your fitness level does not matter, however, you might have to use your brain to do your program precisely. ;)
7. What are your payment method options?

2. Why is the program only for motivated people? Is it only for women?
Because I would like my clients to feel improvement. I totally understand that committing yourself to the program every day can be challenging as you have other things to do. However, you are the person who can make the change to your body, not anyone else.
Any gender experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction is welcome to attend.
4. I am so busy that I don't have an hour spare each day - how will I find the time to do these exercises?
Most of the stretching and exercises from this holistic pelvic floor program can be fit into your everyday life. For example, in the kitchen, in your office or when watching TV. I will not ask you to spend even a half hour a day, however if you are able to complete your homework each day it will make a big impact to your pelvic floor.
6. What if I wanted one or a couple more session(s) after I complete the Zenshin pelvic floor program?
Sure. You are welcome to have extra follow-up appointments until you are confident with your pelvic floor area.
Cancellation policy
A minimum of 24 hours notice is required if you wish to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Any change with less than 24 hours notice will incur a 50% charge of your scheduled appointment fee and a full fee will be charged for non-attendance at your scheduled appointment. Please pay the cancellation fee and make an appointment via the online booking system if you select an online Pelvic floor program.
